One item for every home: The Cowhide Rug

One item for every home: The Cowhide Rug

cowhide_bbw

If we could put one item in every home — and we really mean every home — it would be a cowhide rug. This classic, go-with-everything piece works in any setting, and pairs perfectly with everything from country home furniture to ranch furniture, cabin interiors, contemporary homes and so much more!

At Back At The Ranch, our Brazilian Cowhide Rugs come in three different colorways: black and white, brown and white and a combo of brown, black and white. They measure about 6 feet wide by 7.5 feet long, and are versatile enough to go almost anywhere in the house and with any home décor and furniture you have.

Of course, cowhide rugs look great in the living room and add the perfect touch to rustic settings. But we also love them in dining rooms underneath the dining table and in bedrooms. They are gorgeous placed on their own on the floor or look fabulous layered on top of sisal rugs as well. And think of it as a great roving piece that you can move from room to room to change up the look.

Our Favorite Slices Of American

With the Fourth of July holiday just around the corner, we thought we’d highlight some of our favorite Back At The Ranch Home Furnishings home décor pieces with great American spirit. Whether you are looking for a touch of Americana or a red accent to add flair to your décor, we’ve got the perfect touch that will work everywhere from the cabin to the ranch or country home.

1. Hudson Moose Lodge Rug

We love the red-and-white checks and the nod to Americana in this fun, statement-making rug. And the moose makes everyone smile! It’s machine woven of 100% heat-set polypropylene. The Hudson Moose Lodge Rug is rich in style and value and inherently stain resistant and is available in several colors and styles.

2. The Backless Wooden Stool in red

This simple standout piece works everywhere from the kitchen to the entryway. Use it in multiples in the kitchen for a bold look or as the perfect accent in the entryway. We love it with a rustic basket on top of it to hold mail, keys, glasses and more.

3. #2 Cowboy Collage

What’s more iconic than the American cowboy? Celebrate the spirit of the West with this fun piece of framed art for your cabin interior or to add a rustic home furnishing touch to any environment. Use it as a single or buy a couple of different pieces to create a cowboy-inspired gallery.

Treat Your Cabin Fever with Rustic Home Furnishings

Rustic western rugs

Rustic western rugs can help you while away your time in comfort this winter. Perhaps you are pacing the floor, waiting anxiously for warmer weather. Even with your socks on, that hardwood or tile can get chilly. It’s time to roll out a rug to keep your toes warm. Can we recommend a solution?

This is our Hudson Rug. It’s made of heat set polypropylene that is stain resistant (an important factor if you tend to carry a cup of coffee or hot cocoa while you bustle about the house). We think this design is ideal for cool weather with its “American Primitive” style art in a repeating design that looks like a patchwork quilt your great-grandmother might have made many winters ago. It comes in sizes small enough to go under a side table or large enough to cover an entire room. Lay down this cozy rug and feel your cabin fever start to fade…..
